Good Microbes Project

Educational public art project that involves single celled organisms (protist) collected from the Ballona Wetlands as a source for drawing, imagination, and teaching. Included teaching project with college level students demonstration art through science lessons and utilizing live video feed from microscopes.

Involved collaboration with visiting Japanese artist Yutaka Kobayashi.

Cubic Conversation

A collaboration with Rolf Van Widenfelt, this work was curated by London artist Brandon LaBelle into the exhibition "Concrete Sound" at the Southern California Institute of Architecture. This work is a micro-sound hardware product that initiates social games and adhoc sample music through their interactions with participate viewers.

About Face

Ongoing project where viewers interact with digital photographic images with embedded video cameras. Connected to a computer viewers images are captured using facial recognition software of the artist's design. The resulting archives of faces become sources for a variety of large composite images created interactively.

Face Time Sculpture

Large Scale Digital Interactive Sculpture to be installed on the rooftop of new development near the corner of Sunset and Vine in Hollywood, Ca. Faces that represent broad and changing demographic of "celebrity" are projected onto the structure of a dynamic sculptural glass sculpture.

SuperOrganic

Large scale video animation installation where a time lapse of a lotus blossom opening and closing is projected onto the surface of a large hanging steel slab (found on the demontion site of the Kaiser Steel foundry in Fontana, Ca.)

What I Said in My Dream

Cast from life ears with small scale looping digital sound chips were embedded in the walls of the Old Los Angeles City Jail as part of "Without Alarm" exhibition.

Emergency Womb

Nazi bunkers on the west coast of Denmark were transformed into "love motels" on the anniversary of Danish liberation day. Collaboration with Nobuho Nagasawa as part of "Feldskuplture 95".

Nucleus

A collaborative project with artist Nobuho Nagasawa and students from Central High School in Los Angeles. Drawing with graphite, the students depicted themselves in their urban environment, and in relation to the idea or symbol of egg. Installed with 669 terra cotta "eggs" created by the students.
